Daniel Spinazzola
President, DRS International

Daniel R. Spinazzola is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Diversified Restaurant Systems, Inc.  Established in 1986, DRS, Inc. specializes in the procurement of protein, produce and other items related to the foodservice industry.  DRS serves as a sales and consulting company for programs such as Subway (foodservice), Food 4 Less (retail), Walmart (warehouse), and Denny’s (restaurants).

Dan joined West Liberty Foods in 1999, with Subway as its first customer.  Since that time he has helped bring West Liberty Foods from a primarily co-packing manufacturer to a more value-added organization, expanding customers to the foodservice and wholesale industries.  Dan has demonstrated his interest and involvement over the last few years with increased sales, industry exposure, and support at all levels.  Due to the company’s location, facilities, and leadership, he believes West Liberty Food’s opportunities for success are seemingly limitless.

Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah as well as a teaching certificate for secondary schools.  For several years he served as the Vice President of manufacturing, distribution, quality control, purchasing, warehousing, and product development for Foodmaker, Inc—Jack in the Box. He will bring his strengths to the WLF Board, especially with his solid contributions in perspective of sales, company knowledge, customer relationships, and overall experience in the food industry.

Dan is also very involved with his community, serving on the Board for charities such as Nice Guys, Star Pals, Scripps Institute, Noah Hones, and Taking Control of Your Diabetes.  He also belongs to organizations such as FRCC, Sheriff of San Diego, and FBI.

Dan is married to Barbara and the proud father of four college graduates, Michael, Mark, Sue, and Michelle, all residing in San Diego.
