Dr. Knudson is Associate Professor of Medicine and Co-Medical Director of the Diabetes Care Center, Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Clinical Nutrition at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He has been named among the "Top Ten Department of Medicine Teachers" and in 1999 he served as the Co-Director of Taking Control Of Your Diabetes in Syracuse, New York. In addition to holding appointment as Associate Professor of Medicine, Endocrinology, he serves as co-Director of the Diabetes Care Center and Director of Inpatient Diabetes Management Services at Froedtert Hospital. After getting a Biochemistry degree from University of California at Davis, he received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He did his Internal Medicine training also at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and his Endocrinology fellowship at the University of California at San Diego. His clinical interests include diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2 and inpatient and outpatient management. He also see patients with other endocrinological disorders, involving the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and pituitary. His investigative interests focus on clinical informatics, especially with regard to diabetes mellitus, and non-invasive blood chemistry measurements. |
