The National Conference on Diabetes: What TCOYD and Other Thought Leaders are Doing to Prevent and Manage the Diabetes Epidemic 
Taking Control of Your Diabetes in partnership with the National Minority Quality Forum, America’s Health Insurance Plans, American Diabetes Association, American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, American Association of Diabetes Educators, National Black Nurses Association, National Business Group on Health, National Council on Aging and The Endocrine Society comprise the Task Force for the National Conference on Diabetes, a joint initiative aimed at tackling the diabetes epidemic and reduce its economic impact. On November 17th, the Task Force announced their Call to Action, focusing on prevention, self-management, proper diagnosis and care, as well as how we as a nation can lower the cost of diabetes care.
