Advancements in type 1 diabetes have never moved faster than right now.
Here is what you will explore during the next TCOYD LIVE:
- The State of Type 1 Today. You will get a read on how many people are actually reaching their targets, why weight has become a type 1 problem too, and why severe lows and DKA still happen even on automated insulin delivery systems. Walk away understanding that the daily grind you feel is unfortunately par for the course, not you falling short.
- Diabetes Technology. You will learn about the current generation of automated insulin delivery systems and how much freedom you now have to pair the pump and sensor you actually want. You will be amazed at what the glucose sensors are now measuring and what’s coming next.
- Treatment Beyond Insulin. You will get a clear picture of where the newer medication classes like GLP1s stand for type 1, what the approval timeline looks like, and explore benefits that reach well past weight and blood sugar.
- Cure-Based Approaches. You will get a grounded look at therapies that can prevent & delay the onset of type1 diabetes, the screening that identifies who is at risk before symptoms start, and the research moving toward replacing insulin production altogether through islet cell transplantation and gene therapy.
And most importantly! Stay to the end to ask Drs. Edelman and Pettus your own questions live!
