For 20 years, we’ve hosted our annual Diabetes Forum with our friends at diaTribe. Last year we revamped the format into Diabetes Jeopardy!, an interactive game show featuring key opening leaders battling it out for first place. We’re now turning this event into a virtual gameshow and you will be able to compete to test your knowledge as well!

Founder & Director, TCOYD; Endocrinologist, Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine; Director, Diabetes Care Clinic, VA Medical Center San Diego

Dr. Edelman lives with Type 1 diabetes and is a renowned diabetes specialist who founded TCOYD in 1995. As a Professor of Medicine at UC San Diego and practicing endocrinologist, he’s dedicated his career to making diabetes education accessible and empowering. He’s authored over 200 publications and has been named among the top 1% of U.S. endocrinologists. His personal experience with diabetes gives him unique insight into what really matters for daily management.

Director, Type 1 Diabetes, Taking Control of Your Diabetes; Associate Professor, Endocrinology, University of California San Diego

Dr. Pettus is an endocrinologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at UC San Diego. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 15, he has dedicated his career to advancing care for others with T1D. His research focuses on innovative therapies, from disease-modifying medications and islet cell transplants to artificial pancreas technology. As a physician, researcher, and person living with T1D, he brings unique insight and passion to the TCOYD education team.
