What past participants have to say about this ONE-derful event!

I especially liked being able to connect with fellow type I diabetics and providers during the meal times to get more personalized info and advice. I wish this existed when I was diagnosed as a child. I also really enjoy how the information is presented in a fun and funny manner at TCOYD. This sharply contrasts with most diabetes advice I have received in the past which seems to suggest living in a bubble.

It was wonderful to meet other T1Ds and to learn so much from the wealth of their life experiences. I was also so happy to learn of the backgrounds of the presenters. Having had numerous negative medical encounters around T1D where I live, it was such a relief to discover that they were mostly T1Ds themselves and/or treat T1D patients. I felt understood & heard for the first time since I was diagnosed with T1D in May of 2023. Thank you!

Personally, Type I Diabetes has been isolating for me. I don’t know many people with this chronic illness, so I felt it was imperative that I attend the conference. Finding humor in only what Type Is can understand was exhilarating. I enjoyed meeting people that live a full life despite having the disease. Cheers to a long healthy life with Type I Diabetes!
