  1. Since becoming a type 2 diabetic and taking lantus and humalog my cholesterol and high blood pressure has increased. Also there has been many skin conditions.

    • Type 2 diabetes is very commonly associated with blood pressure and cholesterol problems, which are treatable. But it’s important for you to know that it’s not because you had to be on insulin. You may have had type 2 diabetes longer than you knew because you need insulin to control your blood sugars, but it’s not unusual to see these other issues. In fact, it would be unusual NOT to see them! It’s just important for you to get them under control. Please see our article on skin conditions in people with diabetes.

  2. Great review on MASLD & MASH, and I appreciate the insights from hepatology. Ozempic does NOT have an indication for MASH, but Wegovy 2.4mg does.

    • You’re absolutely right. People are more familiar with Ozempic and it is the same medication, but we should have said Wegovy and explained the difference.
