Thanks, all 3 of you terrific, entertaining Drs for your expertise & dedication & for this update on CGMs & Insulin Pumps!! I’m working hard on control & weight loss (30 #s to go) & doing well with 58 years with Type 1 😊😇🥰 God’s Blessings to you for your care & ongoing, much appreciated service!!
Thank you so much for all you do! I love listening to all your programs. I’m 68, diagnosed at 40 with Type 1. Both of my children have Type 1 since 2 and 3 years old. We wear Medtronic pump and CGM. Thanks again!
Sounds interesting. I am on a Biotel glucose machine now. It’s interesting to know how many choices you have for treatment. I want you to get off medication altogether if possible.
I started with the Libre 3 CGM in DEC 2024. I like this product. Abbott has been very responsive to any problems. In my first use I had a couple of sensors fall off and others did not last the 15 days noted. The company has a process in place to retrieve poor sensors for testing. I have sent 3 sensors to them for testing. In return I received 3 additional sensors as replacements. It looks like I have received sensors named “Libre 3 Plus”.
Thanks Karen! So glad to hear you’ve had a great experience when sensors needed to be replaced. And yes, the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus is their latest version.
Addendum to my first comments. I am a Type 2 diabetic, a family trait, confirmed in 2008. I attended the first TYCOD Conference in San Diego with my husband (now deceased). We really enjoyed our time there. Thank you for your important work in the diabetes field. I watched this podcast on my computer today; 16 May 2025. Thank you.
We’re very sorry for you loss, Karen. You have been part of the TCOYD family for a long time – thank you for your kind comments and for being part of our community. We miss those in person conferences, but we’re grateful to be able to reach people all over the world now. Thanks again for taking the time to comment. 🙂
