My name is Ed Beberman. I grew up in St. Louis Park, MN, and the day after graduating from St. Cloud State College I left the mosquitos and snow behind and moved to Las Vegas, NV, and assisted my Mom and Dad in the management of their liquor and gambling business. After an 8 year stint there I moved to San Diego to attend law school with my wife Luann who I met my freshman year of college. Upon passing the Bar I formed my own firm, and after Luann passed the Bar we formed the Law Offices of Beberman, Stoffel & Beberman. During the first 15 years, my practice dealt mainly in general business law, civil litigation and personal injury cases. The last 20 years of my practice was heavily spent in elder abuse and trust and estate litigation and mediation. In 1990, after living a very sedentary life, and having a fondness and weakness for all foods fattening, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes which I have erratically controlled, or not, with non-insulin medications. Luann and I retired about 6 years ago. I have proudly served as a Director on many nonprofit boards; among them, The Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association of San Diego, The M.S. Society of San Diego, and The George G. Glenner Family Center, Inc. I am currently serving on the Taking Control Of Your Diabetes (TCOYD) Board of Directors, and I have been since 2014. Luann and I pass the time with great friends and our love of ethnic, spicy food, wine, and world travel, none of which we ever tire.
