Nalani Haviland is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in diabetes. She is Associate Director of the Diabetes Program and the PA Student Clerkship Director for Apex Healthcare Medical Center in Southern California. As a type 1 diabetic of 20 years, she feels especially lucky to share her passion through teaching and the treatment of her patients. She additionally hopes to spread disease knowledge to PWD and their caregivers through her diabetes blog, diabetespa.net and her Instagram, @diabetes_pa. Her goal in patient care is to inspire and inform patients regarding their disease so that they may eventually answer their own questions and in doing such, increase their health and independence.
